Monopolar Pencil
The Monopolar Pencil is a precision-engineered tool designed to deliver controlled radiofrequency (RF) energy for tissue cutting and coagulation during electrosurgical procedures. Essential in both open and laparoscopic surgeries, this electrosurgical pencil enables surgeons to perform clean incisions, effective hemostasis, and tissue dissection with accuracy and efficiency. Its ergonomic design and responsive control make it a preferred instrument across surgical disciplines including general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, and ENT.
Using monopolar energy, the pencil transmits current from the electrosurgical generator through a disposable or reusable electrode tip to the surgical site, where it performs tissue cutting or coagulation based on the energy waveform selected. Surgeons can choose between cut, blend, and coagulation modes depending on procedural needs. This versatile tool can be used with various monopolar accessories, such as grounding pads and extension cords, ensuring compatibility with standard OR setups.
The Monopolar Electrosurgical Pencil is available with push-button, rocker switch, or foot-controlled activation, allowing surgeons to tailor operation to their technique. The pencil’s lightweight, insulated body ensures maximum safety and maneuverability, reducing hand fatigue during long procedures. Designed for single-use or reprocessing (model-dependent), the pencil minimizes the risk of cross-contamination and maintains performance integrity with every use.
